Celebrating its 10th year, Touch A Truck® Jackson is a family-friendly, hands-on event that offers opportunities for children to EXPLORE, CLIMB, and TOUCH trucks, emergency response vehicles, heavy machinery, and other equipment. Children also get to meet the personnel who protect, serve, and build our community.
As of October 15 COVID-19 Waivers are no longer in effect. The National Emergency Declaration was set to expire on 10/15/2022, and at this time FMCSA has not issued any extension. The American Trucking Associations has provided feedback to FMCSA the last few weeks that there was no longer a need for COVID-19 exemptions, and encouraged the Agency to let them expire. Last week, FMCSA indicated it was likely these would expire, and we are currently confirming there are no plans for further extensions. The waivers that have been in place for the last 2 years and 7 months have been sunset.

Atlanta, GA – The American Transportation Research Institute, the trucking industry’s not-for-profit research organization, today launched the 2022 Top Industry Issues Survey. The annual survey asks trucking industry stakeholders to rank the top issues of concern for the industry along with potential strategies for addressing each issue.

Over the three days of the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s (CVSA) International Roadcheck commercial motor vehicle inspection and enforcement initiative, CVSA-certified inspectors conducted 59,026 inspections and placed 12,456 commercial motor vehicles and 3,714 commercial motor vehicle drivers out of service.
